Japanese Bath by WS Review.

Today I'll be reviewing the "Japanese Bath" which is a product of the brand "WS Creations" created by the lovely Viara Jewell who also sponsored this review. A big shout out to her but as we all know the rules of this game, the review itself is based upon the performance of the product itself. Nothing else and nothing more. The product retails for $2400 lindens(10$ USD) which is available on the Marketplace and the WS in world store.

So let's dive(Haha) into the review and see how well our bathing experience goes! 

When I first looked at the advertisement of the product, It reminded me of a scene from one of my favorite movies "Memoirs of a Geisha", precisely a scene from the second half of a movie when an American Colonel is taking a bath with the Geishas who comments "Back home, a bath is nothing more than a quick shower on cold tile with a bar of Lye soap. But here it's like a ritual". The character of Sayuri replies "That is the art of turning habit into pleasure, Colonel". This is the same feeling I got when I set everything up and invited a special lady friend of mine to join me as we sat together in our new Ofuro tub surrounded by decor provided by the creator which decorated the bathroom of our new Minka where a simple bath was now an experience.

The Good/Best:

1. Textures and complimentary items: The Ofuro tub does not come alone but with a party of seventeen complimentary items which help fill up the atmosphere of the sensual experience as you receive a towel table, foot table, Screen dividers and other Decorum styled in a traditional Japanese fashion which are also accompanied by Texture Huds specifically for the Three-foot stool, Fans, Screen, Tall Lamp, Towel table and the tub itself which are actually very impressive as you can recolor various aspects of each of the tub itself along with the supplementary items. Most SL creators just give you the option of retexturing just a few spots of the furniture or a major change which recolors the whole of the product but in this case, WS has impressively given you so much range where for example you can retouch the coloring of let's say the tub from it's body, bottom, Rims, Base, Board and towel with 48 textures available for the bath tub alone. You can even recolor the towel and the petals which come with the tub or turn off the petals entirely if you do not appreciate some nature in your naturistic activities.

2. Integration of Add-ons: The product comes with a solid integration of the Physics cock which can accurately adjust the positioning of your manhood with little to no manipulation required by the male host which is also very impressive as there are a lot of products which claim to be able to do but they cannot in an accurate fashion as your cock will either be swinging upside or downwards with you having to do all the work. There is also a cleanup for the "IT'S NOT MINE" cum system as any bath tub would be utterly useless in my opinion if it can't clean up the aftermath of your splunking afterwards. It works accordingly and it managed to clean up my special lady friend in due time whilst we relaxed holding one another in sweet lover's embrace. There are also other Add-on's available for the excite, aeros, V and sensations.

3. No INM lock: There's been this annoying trend going on with SL creator where the "IT'S NOT MINE" system gets locked by the furniture which dictates where you'd be spilling your nectar and what part of your partner you'd be spilling said nectar into. This is a feature I find very tedious honestly and discourage creators to refrain from adding as I like control over where I'm aiming at. I do not need an "Aim-lock" in my SL and FPS environment. I know that you can always open up the scripts of any product and delete INM scripts from it but I find this very tedious to do so. That problem does not exist with this product as you have full control over the INM system which is how it should be and I cannot commend the creator enough for not troubling her users with unnecessary features which should not exist in the first place.

4. Items: There are a total of seventeen items which come perfectly bundled up together for you to use at once upon purchase of the product instead of you having to fumble around with it like you're assembling furniture from IKEA. This is extremely well done by the creator and I have to give absolute praise where it's due. I've seen similar products which unfortunately do not deliver in this regard and the lazy response from lazy creators is to just simply look at the picture and assemble it yourself but not in this case as the effort shines through.

The Neutral: 

1. Animations: I'm quite neutral about the animations this time. The one positive element that I like about the menu is that the creator does her best in offering you selective animations which are pooled to a scale of ten rather than filling up the menu with lots of sub-par animations. This is what I refer to as "bloatware" where creators try to fill up a certain advertising quota to say "Hey, look. I'm offering up so many animations. This is good right?" But unfortunately more does not always equal better in a majority of cases when it comes to SL furniture desigined specifically for erotica. The animations offered by this product are "fifty-fifty" where some are great, some are good, some are bad and some are straight up silly. The main menus which I'm going to be talking about are "Penetration and Rough" where my favorite is definitely the penetration one as I feel the animations are more natural, fluid and quite erotic to experience as there is a slow to medium sensual experience locked behind the menu whereas the "Rough" menu leaves little to taste with it being more of a burning aftertaste than a delicacy. The animations of this menu are unnatural looking where one has to be some sort of olympic gymnast to execute them perfectly and to me my back hurts even when I'm flipping through the menu to try them. This is my one complaint with animations of this standard that perhaps make or include poses which the average Joe in real life would be somewhat able to do? Why would one have to suspend realism in an average vanilla or d/s themed sexual roleplay? Instead of going for animations where a woman has to bend in a thousand different ways, make natural and fluid animations which everyone can relate to and adds realism in the scenario. The second complaint that I have is consistency between the "Penetration" and "Rough" menu as there is a recent trend in SL sex furniture where certain creators are adding poses which have two or three variations of speed. I highly detest furniture with "slower, harder" control buttons which make the animation look silly but I really love it when a single animation comes in two variances of speed(Or if they are given separate animations which one can continue an action with) in two separate animation slots where the pose is built to be natural looking in both the slow and fast option for example darkfold does a great job in including two variances for one pose which both feel amazing. He usually names them "Pose, Pose+" with the plus indicating the faster option which one can follow up with after setting the tone. There is no continuation or consistency between the two penetrating menus here as the animations of the slower menu cannot be followed with animations from the rough menu because the poses in the rough menu are entirely different in every way possible. I cannot do a traditional doggystyle where I start off slow at first but then pick up a fluid and consistent animation to follow through for a harder follow up unless I want to try the whacky and Mr.Fantastic stretchy poses available to try in the rough menu which just turns me off along with a large majority of people who crave realism in roleplay.

The Bad: 

1. Texturing: The texture HUD does not work any of the furniture if you're sitting on it and enjoying yourself. You would have to stand up first in order to re-texture the furniture which does not make much sense to me as I would rather be sitting on the furniture for example the tub itself whilst judging how would my avatar look whilst in this particular colored tub instead of me hopping out and hopping back in to judge myself. The textures of the wood, towel and base could've been better as some of the colors for them look very primitive which reminds me of the color schemes I've seen in furniture from a decade ago. There should've been sharper colored options which look realistic instead of basic colors which do not look like realistic at all(Especially the wood). They look bland and cartoonish no matter which graphic setting or windlight you choose to adopt for your viewing experience.

2. INM clean up time: There should've been an option to pick a custom clean up time from a range of one minute to ten minutes which is an option given in other bathing products on SL such as Debauchery's hot tub. The Ofuro tub does not feature this convenience as one would have to wait around for the whims and wishes of the bath tub itself rather than you owning the bath-tub. This feature should definitely not be overlooked when it comes to showers or tubs as the whole purpose of a shower is to get cleaned up in the time frame that you want rather than anything else.

Final Verdict:

I have a mixed opinion on whether I can recommend this product or not. I think it depends on the buyer. If you're a consumer like me who wants high quality products which deliver on all fronts, then I wouldn't buy the Japanese Bath by WS. If you're a consumer who doesn't mind using certain things for certain purposes only which deliver in some aspects but lack in other aspects, then go for it as it certainly can deliver when it comes to a romantic sensual experience but can't follow up with anything for "rough sex" afterwards due to the unrealistic bendy animations offered for that aspect. If you don't mind blowing money, then you should go for it too.
